The Centenary Way, which passes through the municipality of S. João da Madeira, is approximately 3,550 meters long. On this route, pilgrims have access to various support facilities, including the Red Cross, the Volunteer Fire Brigade, municipal toilets, a hospital and even pharmacies that can provide support for pilgrims and their need for rest breaks.
Throughout the route, there are urban, traditional and cosmopolitan contexts. The nature and organization of the city are striking and often recognized by pilgrims.
