Devoid of the turbulence of national road no. 1, despite always having it on the horizon, the Centenary Way in the Municipality of Mealhada crosses an agricultural and forest territory in the omnipresence of the four Wonders of the Mealhada Table – Water, Bread, Wine and Piglet. On a route that is mostly flat and well served by support services, the pilgrim passes through villages with a hospitable community, walks through rich vineyards and beautiful forests with the guarantee that, should they need it, they will have the national road just a short distance away and, on it, dozens of restaurants ready to serve the best of the 7 wonders of national gastronomy, the Bairrada suckling pig.
