With the spread of the pandemic worsening, new rules came into force on November 24:
– Duty to remain at home, with the following exceptions:
– Purchase of goods and services;- Carrying out professional activities;
– Obtaining health care;
– Assisting vulnerable people;
– Attending school;
– Access to cultural facilities;
– Physical activity;
– Participation in social volunteering activities;
– Walking pets;
– Feeding animals;
– Travel required to leave mainland Portugal;
– Trips to post offices and stations;
– Trips to bank branches, insurance broker agencies or insurance companies;
– Travel to activities held in day care centers;
– Visiting users in residential facilities for the elderly.
– Commercial establishments closed until 22:00;
– Restaurants closed until 22:30;
– Events and celebrations with more than five people are prohibited, unless they belong to the same household;
– Religious ceremonies and shows allowed, in accordance with DGS rules;
– Mandatory teleworking whenever the duties in question allow it, unless work is prevented;
– Mandatory use of masks in the workplace.
With regard to the Centenary Way and the Carmelita Route, there are municipalities with these restrictions, divided into four levels of risk: moderate, high, very high and extremely high:
Very high risk

– Coimbra
– Condeixa-a-Nova
– Leiria
– Mealhada
– Oliveira de Azeméis
– Portugal
– Penela
– Pombal
– Santa Maria da Feira

Extremely high
– Anadia
– Ansião
In addition to the measures imposed as of 00:00 on January 8th for municipalities at high risk, very high risk and extremely high risk:
– A ban on driving on public roads between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. on weekdays (this rule includes all three levels of risk);
– No traffic on public roads on Saturdays and Sundays between 1pm and 5am (this rule is mandatory for municipalities with very high and extremely high risk);
– On the weekend of January 9th and 10th there is a ban on driving between municipalities and a ban on driving on public roads after 13:00.
