Protocol signing promoting a partnership between the Fatima and Santiago Paths

On March 17, the Caminhos de Fátima Association (ACF) signed a protocol with the Portuguese Federation of the Caminhos de Santiago (FPCS) at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL).

The protocol was formalized by Dr. Pedro Pimpão, President of the ACF, and Dr. Ana Rita Dias, President of the FPCS, at a ceremony which also included the vice-presidents of the ACF, Dr. Natálio Reis and Dr. Emídio Sousa, and mayors from various municipalities in the country crossed by the Caminhos de Fátima and Caminhos de Santiago.

The protocol aims to create synergies for sharing information and common efforts within the scope of each entity’s projects, namely signposting, hostels and welcoming pilgrims.

For Pedro Pimpão, this is a “historic and landmark moment” in the context of cooperation between the two entities, in order to “articulate future partnerships that contribute to the enhancement of our routes and our territories”.
